# Multicolor Print

Multicolor Print prepares a model for a printer with more than one filament. You assign each part of the model to a filament slot, then export.

### How it works

1. Open a model, then open **Multicolor Print**.
2. Assign colors using the **Filament Slots** picker. Each slot maps to a filament on your printer.
3. Use **Toggle color picker** to change the color shown for a slot.
4. Export when the assignment looks right.

### Starting over

* **Reset slot colors** clears your slot assignment.
* **Reset to original colors** returns the model to the colors it came with.

### Tips

* Match the number of slots to the number of filaments your printer can load.
* Group small details into one slot. Every extra slot means another filament change during the print.
* Check the assignment from more than one angle before exporting.
